Shangri-La Productions is my production company when staging bi-monthly Professional Belly Dance shows at Studio A. I perform in my home town of Los Angeles at: festivals, private parties, and theater productions - my upcoming performances schedule are in the events section. I've been studying Middle Eastern Dance for over 16 years in the Los Angeles area. I believe in using the music as a conduit for the beauty of self-expression. In my years of study, I've had the wonderful opportunity of working with and learning from some of the best dancers and musicians in the community. In fact, for the first few years of my professional dance career, I had the fortune of dancing with live Arabic musicians. They not only taught me to recognize and play classical Arabic rhythms with my zills, but they helped cultivate improvisational technique and develop the stamina it takes to truly express Arabic music. Mesmera, my teacher of many years, taught me the love of improvisation, to this day, she remains an inspiration every time I see her perform. I've also studied with Ansuya and Tamra-Henna, who both gave the gift of learning and understanding choreography. Ansuya solidified my love of American Cabaret style and the freedom and passion it calls from within. Tamra-Henna taught me the pure beauty and grace that is Classical Egyptian style, she has given me a new appreciation and patience for learning the subtleties it entails.

years of training in several styles, I am constantly learning and I
still consider myself a student of Middle Eastern Dance. I look
